Tonsillitis … What is that? Perhaps you’ve never heard that word, but it is something that – sadly – we all know, is the odious sore throat or tonsillitis.
Tonsillitis is a sore throat that affects us when our tonsils become inflamed. These are glands located on the back of the throat to protect the entrance into our digestive system and respiratory bacteria income. Tonsillitis can be caused by either viruses or bacteria. Most cases of tonsillitis go away without antibiotic medication.
There are four types of tonsillities:
1. Acute Tonsillitis
2. Chronic Tonsillitis
3. Peritonsillar Abscess
4. Enlargement of (Hypertrophic) Tonsils and Adenoids
Actually, some people also divide this disease to three types:
1. Acute Tonsillitis Symptoms
2. Sub-acute tonsillitis
3. Chronic tonsillitis
