1. Fruit juices
Juices, as well as energy drinks are full of sugar that can cause tooth decay. That’s why you need to brush your teeth and your children’s teeth before they go to bed. Because mommy tends to give their kids fruit juice, milk, or snack at night.

2. Candies
The sweet taste of candies is bacteria’s favorite. They feed from the sugar and produce acids that attack your enamel for 20 minutes after eating candies. Choose a healthier snack such as cheese, yogurt, or raw veggies instead.

3. Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates can come from sugar and starches that you eat. And same as candies, it is a food source for bacteria. Brush your teeth after eat sugary and starchy foods.

The acidity of lemon can cause teeth to erode. Avoid eating lemon directly by using a straw or put a slice of lemon on a pitcher of water overnight.

5. Cough suppressants
Lozenges, cough drops, and cough syrup contains large quantities of sugar. Look for a sugar-free cough medicine, drink a lot of water, and brush your teeth after taking those medicine.
