How To Shop When On A Diet

Your diet starts from grocery store. The foods that you buy determines the success of your diet. Here are some tips for you to starts a healthy diet from grocery stores as quoted from Health.

1. Meat and fish
Find a 95% lean meat or even higher. Because it it’s only 90%, a 100 grams of serving will still have 10 grams of fat. If you want to buy poultry, but whole or grounded breast only. Buy a lot of because they are high in protein, low-fat, and low calories.


2. Dairy
Never buy cheeses in a brick, because you will tend to eat more of it. If you found an interesting block cheese, ask the deli to slice it into 1 ounce portion, or buy string cheese instead. Buy more plain nonfat Greek yogurt, you can mix it with fresh fruit and high-fiber cereal at home.

3. Fruit and vegetables
To get all of nutrients, buy fruit and vegetables in every colour in rainbow: red, green, orange, yellow, purple, and white. Try to shop on delivery day because fruits and veggies loses its nutrients when exposed to air and light for too long. You can ask the grocer about the delivery day.

4. Grains
Be brave to buy other grains such as quinoa, bulgur, barley, and brown-rice pasta.
