Good Foods To Beat Insomnia

Insomnia is most often defined by an individual’s report of sleeping difficulties. It is typically followed by functional impairment while awake due to the lack of sleep.

Most often daytime symptoms will bring people to seek medical attention. That was not pretty good for your health  anyway. So it is better to beat insomnia with something that you consume. Good foods will help you producing enough serotonin or melatonin to get adequate sleep. Certain foods stimulate the production of these chemical whic help the mind and body relax and get to sleep. Having a habit of eating healthy good foods that are rich in tryptophan or melatonin close to bed time, it can helpful to make you get to sleep more quickly and stay asleep longer.

Here are some of good foods to beat insomnia:

1. Cherries

Cherries are one and the only one food sources of melatonin, an antioxidant that helps the body regulate circadian rythms and sleep. For best results, try to eat a bowl of cherries one hour before bed.

2. Dairy Product

Dairy products like yogurt, milk, and cottage cheese contain the amino acid tryptophan, which helps the body produce sleepy time serotonin and melatonin. Try eating some low fat yogurt or a glass of warm milk an hour before bedtime.

3. Complex Carbohydrates

Whole-grain beard and white sugar can help you make the trytophan in dairy products more available to your brain by pairing them with a complex carbohydrate. The complex crabs will encourage your brain to release insulin, clearing the way for the tryptophan to be absorbed. Just remember to pair you cottage cheese with a piece of whole-grain toast for maximu sleep benefits.

4. Bananas

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin found that potassium may be one of the elements responsible for deep, slow-wave sleep. While a link between potassium and sleep in humans has not been firmly established, foods like bananas which contain both tryptophan and potassium may be doubly good for sleep.

5. Grapes

Grapes are another fruit that may contains melatonin. An Italian study appearing in the summer 2006 issue of Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture reports that there might be a link between some kinds of grapes and the sleepy antioxidant.

6. Cucumber

Cucumber helps to calm and cool the liver. It is beneficial for treating some specific kinds of sleeping disorders. You can largely benefit by taking cucumber in the night.
