Foods For Your Eye Health

Maintaining your eye health is important. And there are certain foods that are good for your eye health and may protects against cataracts, macular degeneration, and other eye problems as quoted from Health Diaries:

1. Avocado
Avocado packed with lutein, which is important to prevent macular degeneration and cataracts. They are also rich in vitamin A, C, B6, and E.

2. Carrots
You must already know that carrots are good for eyes because they are high in vitamin A.

3. Broccoli
Broccoli rich in vitamin C, calcium, lutein, zeaxanthin, and sulforaphane.

4. Eggs
Eggs contains nutrients that your eye need, such as vitamin A, zinc, lutein, lecithin, vitamin B12, vitamin D, and cysteine.

5. Spinach
Spinach is another great source of vitamin A. It also rich of lutein and zeaxanthin.

6. Kale
Same as spinach, kale is rich of vitamin A, lutein, and zeaxanthin.

7. Tomatoes
Tomatoes contains two important nutrient for eye, which is vitamin C and lycopene.

8. Sunflower seeds
Selenium in sunflower seeds may prevent cataract and promote overall eye health.

9. Garlic
Garlic contains selenium, vitamin C, and quercetin that your eye needs.

10. Salmon
As you may know, salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that good for maintaining eye health and also contains folic acid, vitamin D, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and vitamin A.
